Microsoft's December Patch Release Advance Notice
Microsoft have released their Advance Notice for their December 2008 Security bulletin release.
This month, there are eight security bulletins that are expected to be released. Six bulletins are to be rated as Critical, with the remaining two rated as Important.
From the Advance Notice, the expected breakdown of vulnerabilities is, two Critical vulnerabilities for unnamed Windows components, one for Internet Explorer (Cumulative Update), one for VisualBasic, and one each for Word and Excel.
The two Important patches will be for SharePoint and WMC.
All of the vulnerabilities, except for the SharePoint vulnerability are for remote code execution bugs, with the SharePoint vulnerability marked as being for Privilege Elevation.
