Microsoft February 2011 Patch Notification
After releasing only two patches with the January Security Bulletin release, Microsoft's Advance Notification for February has indicated that twelve bulletins are set to be released next week.
Three of the bulletins are for Critical vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and core Windows components and each addresses at least one remote code execution vulnerability. Not all Windows versions are equally affected, with the rating ranging from Important through to Critical.
The remaining nine bulletins have all been rated Important, and include denial of service, information disclosure, elevation of privilege, and remote code execution vulnerabilities. These bulletins address key Windows and Office components. As with the Critical bulletins, not all versions of Windows are affected equally, with some versions not being affected at all by some of the bulletins.
