Microsoft Security Patch Release March 2009 Advance Notification
Microsoft have released their Advance Notification for Tuesday's security bulletin release. Three patches are expected, one Critical and the remaining two are Important.
All three patches have been identified as being for Unspecified core Windows components. All versions of Windows currently supported will receive updates, though not all systems will receive the third, Important, patch.
Of note, it seems that none of the patches being provided will address the 0-day Excel vulnerability that came to light at the end of February. With that particular vulnerability apparently still only being targeted via targeted attacks, it is likely that a patch to address it will still be some time off.
